Friday evening we launched our Q Club Membership with a private trunk show and preview party. Thirty three shelves nested Quince’s Sparrow, Finch, Owl, Lark, Osprey, Puffin, and Chickadee.  You fondled, caressed, ohhhed and awed, helped others choose colors, shared project ideas and we think a few of you even coveted thy neighbor’s  basket, but each and everyone one of you went home with goodie-filled bags and a spring in your step.

Quince has remained right on target with it’s goal to “create a demand for quality American fiber”, artistic creativity and good ol’  “Yankee ingenuity”. We look forward to growing with them, exploring and reveling in every new pattern, fiber and inspiration. As they grow, so do we as a community, hopefully lessening the decline of our mills, our LYS’s and the diminished interest in our younger generation who have abandoned “our grandmother’s hobbies” for the latest electronics and designer “off the rack” creations.

We just wanted to express our gratitude for your overwhelming support and thank Pam, Jerusha, Hannah, Ryan and the rest of the Quince team for giving us this opportunity.

**For those of you who asked about socks for Quince, they will be releasing four new patterns in May, all  knit with Finch, in their first sock book.

YOU’RE KIDDING? REALLY, ANOTHER SNOW DAY?

Sorry, I wish we were kidding. I love snow, probably more than you, but this definitely does not bode well for business.  This also means we have no excuse not to finish up all our new projects for February’s theme.

If you have had it with the snow, we will be ready tomorrow with hot beverages and a warm shop, so stop by and knit for awhile. “Happy Hours”, our social knitting group, starts at 10:00 and remember if you come and knit with the group we offer a 15% discount on your purchases.

The first Metro West Yarn Over is coming up in two weeks.   We want to make sure everyone who wants to participate gets their packets ahead of time since they will not be available the days of the event.  If you have never experienced a “yarn crawl”, it is a great celebration of our passion for yarn that you can share with friends and fellow knitters!

You can purchase a tour packet at In The Loop or any of the other participating shops for $10.00 through September 30th.  The packet includes a list of all the participating shops, all the information you need to make the rounds and your “Passport”.   When you visit the shops,  have your passport stamped.  No purchase is necessary to have it stamped.  If you visit at least 7 of the 15 participating shops over the weekend, return to the shop where you purchased the packet between October 4th and November 4th, show your stamped passport and receive a very special gift!

In The Loop will be offering 25% off all purchases to the Yarn Over participants, as well as door prizes and mystery gift bags!  We certainly don’t want to leave out any customers who cannot take part in the event, so we will be offering 15% off purchases for non-participants.
